Your doctor prescribes, we provide...
Home infusion is a proven, safe and effective alternative to hospitalization for treatment of many illnesses and medical conditions.
Infusion therapy refers to medications administered via intravenous, subcutaneous, and epidural routes. Home infusion therapy is when a patient receives these infusion therapies in their home with clinical support from specially trained nurses and pharmacists. HomeCare IV offers a variety of infusion therapies both onsite in our ambulatory infusion suite and offsite in a patient's home.
For many patients, receiving infusion therapy in an outpatient setting or at home is preferred over inpatient care. Reliable, simple to operate, state-of-the-art infusion devices are used to ensure consistent and accurate dosing. Often, these devices permit patients to remain ambulatory during their course of treatment. Education and training offered by nurses and pharmacists allows patients and patient caregivers to provide many aspects of their own care. In many instances, patients can resume normal lifestyle and work activities while receiving home infusion care.
Working as a team with a patient’s healthcare provider, HomeCare IV provides the medications, equipment, supplies, education, monitoring, and other clinical and administrative support required for safe, cost-effective home infusion therapy. With an infusion or enteral nutrition therapy prescription or physician’s order, our team thoroughly assesses the patient, patient’s support system, and patient’s home as the first step to providing a comprehensive course of treatment. To ensure proper patient education, training, and respond to any questions or concerns, HomeCare IV pharmacy and nursing staff are always available.
Home Care I.V.'s home and ambulatory infusion services are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
